Ken Mattsson - Career & Professional Development Consultant

Ken Mattsson has over 15 years experience working with individuals and groups on their professional development needs, whether they be deciding a future career path, learning new business efficiencies, or training groups to work more effectively together. Ken has been through numerous career transitions himself, knows what his clients are going through, and can bring his experience in all areas of career transition, with extensive experience in individual career advising and workshop delivery.

Ken has worked with hundreds of people in career transition on an individual basis. His approach to his clients is to help each individual to understand his or her own needs, desires, and talents, and then help them to discover work situations with which they are in tune, and which therefore "resonate." His workshops are known for their energy and ability to focus participants on the next steps for their careers. Ken has presented for many career forums, including The Career Place, WIND Networking, the Monday Networking Group, and the Harvard Square Job Support Group. His topics have varied from "Creating Your Own Personal Mission Statement" to "Playing To Your Strengths."

In addition to his work with individuals as a Career & Professional Development Consultant with Resonare Consulting, Ken has worked in numerous industries in the Boston area, including:

Ken holds an M.S. in Adult & Organizational Learning from Suffolk University, and a B.A. in Linguistics from Hamilton College. He is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Boston Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International, where he is President, and also participates in the Career Counselors Consortium of New England.

Additionally, Ken is a USA Track & Field Certified Coach, and a performer and instructor as a Tenor Vocalist and Instrumentalist (hammered dulcimer, flute, whistles, and recorders.) He has also lived in both Europe and Asia, and speaks German, Chinese, and Swedish.
